Capital asks
Ask for exactly what the venture needs.
A capital ask is a tool you activate — not a state your venture has to live in.
How asks work
Structured asks
Each ask states what is needed, how much, by when, and how it will be used.
Multiple capital categories
Money, people, knowledge, equipment and space, relationships, and market demand.
Individual and coordinated asks
Run one ask on its own, or group several around a single milestone.
Milestone-based needs
Tie an ask to the step it unlocks so contributors see what it makes possible.
Conditional commitments
Contributions can depend on a threshold being reached before anything is delivered.
Delivery confirmation
Commitments become deliveries only when both sides confirm what happened.
Contributor expectations
Say plainly what a contributor receives directly, and what they do not.
Pausing and revising
Adjust the target, extend the timeline, or pause an ask without closing the venture.
Completion reporting
Close an ask with a record of what was committed, delivered, and deployed.
Capital status
A venture's capital status is separate from its profile status. A venture can be fully public and still show that it is not seeking capital, and it can run several asks at different statuses at once.
